Our client is seeking a Senior Flow Assurance Engineer to join their engineering team to support the continued growth of our flow assurance capability.

Within the Flow Assurance Discipline, attached to the Systems Engineering Group, you will be responsible for performing thermo-hydraulic analysis and thermal design of subsea equipment to achieve the production and design requirements of our most complex projects.

A comprehensive understanding of production and export systems, operating philosophies, and thermal management is advantageous.

What will you be doing?

  • Perform detailed thermo-hydraulic analysis to validate the subsea system design and subsea equipment performance considering project requirements and constraints from other disciplines
  • Perform detailed thermal analysis to assess the level of thermal insulation needed on the subsea equipment
  • Develop and define engineering solutions to specific job requirements
  • Write clear, accurate and concise technical reports
  • Understand client and internal project needs, identify design parameters and issues, develop and implement solutions
  • Work collaboratively with flow assurance counterparts and within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Support a technical interface with internal and external stakeholders in flow assurance related topics
  • Develop tools and processes to improve ways of working, facilitate technology implementation and promote knowledge cross-fertilization with other functions/disciplines
  • Be involved in R&D programs to define and support the development of new products and technologies
  • Supervising and supporting (training, sharing knowledge...) other Flow Assurance Engineers within the Flow Assurance Discipline

 
About You:

  • You will have a degree in engineering with extensive experience in a flow assurance related role.
  • Significant knowledge of multiphase flow & heat transfer analysis within Oil & Gas environment
  • Understanding of key flow assurance related issues; hydrate, wax, scale, corrosion, asphaltene, liquid management, operability
  • Proficiency with all flow assurance modeling tools including Olga, Pipesim, PVTSim and Multiflash
  • Proven communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to develop effective working relationships through good communication
  • Able to perform most of the flow assurance activities without direct supervision.
  • Practical attitude to tackling problems and identifying realistic solutions
  • Knowledge of insulation materials and coating for subsea equipment would be appreciated
  • Knowledge of using CFD/FEA simulators (Fluent, Star CCM+) is a valuable addition
