Welder

KPI Recruiting are on the look out for a Welder to work alongside our client based in Sandbach.

As a Welder you will be working:

• 5 out of 7 days per week
• With varied working hours

The rate of pay as a Welder is:

• £16.00- £18.00 p/h

Duties and responsibilities as a Welder are:

• Undertake fabrication to engineering drawings
• Cutting and grinding of materials
• Ensure job materials and equipment are correctly used
• Safely operate while slinging/loading of steelwork
• Take responsibility for individual workspace Health and Safety
• Maintain safe working practices and have consideration for all other operatives
• Safeuly use handheld and workshop machinery and equipment in line with current guidelines and company risk assessments
• General housekeeping duties
• Inspect your own work prior to management sign off

The ideal candidate for a Welder would need:

• Good welding skills to include MIG, TIG and MMA
• Work under own initiative and seek guidance when required
• Focus on completion within set timescales in accordance with company Quality management system
• Knowledge of Health and Safety
• Demonstrated 5 to 10 years Fabricator skills and experience
• City& Guilds/ NVQ or equivalent, requirement dependent on experience
• Ability to deliver consistent good quality work
• Safety aware with recognised training record
• Full UK Driving Licence
