Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you ready to further your experience in an SEND Education environment, prior to going into Nursing, the Care sector, or SEN Teaching?
Have you got experience working with young people or adults in a Carer, Support Worker or Nursing field?
Do you have knowledge of personal care, safeguarding and/or dealing with challenging behaviour, and would like to put this to use in an education environment?
A fully-inclusive College in Sunderland is looking for a nurturing individual to join their Education Support Team, working with their SEN learners to ensure everybody can achieve their potential.
The forward-thinking College are keen to ensure all students have the ability to thrive academically and socially, and aim to deploy a compassionate Teaching Assistant to allow their students to succeed.
Job Specification:
- Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant
- Work closely with students aged 16+ with a range of complex needs and other acute SEND
- Assist students with personal and academic challenges to allow them to thrive
- Manage challenging behaviours and emotional regulation of students
- Previous experience dealing with Personal Care, acute SEND and challenging behaviours
- Ability to time-manage, multi-task and adapt flexibly to changing situations
- Mon-Fri 8-3.30pm
- £450-480 per week
- Interviewing immediately - the successful applicant will start as soon as possible
