Send Teaching Assistant

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Reception class teacher to deliver the National Curriculum in an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting.
• Providing tailored one-to-one support for a pupil with autism, working alongside other TAs in the class.
• Encouraging the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils.
• Collaborating with the wider Primary School staff to foster a nurturing learning environment.
• Assisting with classroom preparation, resources, and pupil engagement.
• Promoting inclusion and ensuring every child has equal access to learning opportunities.

Required Skills and Experience:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a TA or SEND Teaching Assistant in a UK school setting, particularly in EYFS.
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and EYFS framework.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with children and staff.
• A patient and adaptable approach to support children with additional needs.

• £85.02 to £98.41 per day, equating to £16,578.90 to £19,189.95 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year.
