Cover Supervisor

Are you passionate about education and keen to make a difference in the lives of young people? We are looking for a dedicated General Cover Supervisor to join our dynamic and supportive team in one of our schools in Kings Heath.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lesson plans in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will ensure a positive and productive learning environment while maintaining high expectations for student behaviour and engagement.

This role is due to start as soon as possible for day-to-day and long term roles.

This Cover Supervisor role will include:

• Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects.

• Engage students in Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) across a variety of subjects
• Support learning within the National Curriculum, ensuring high standards
• Work closely with other Secondary Teachers to foster a positive learning environment
• Supervise and manage classrooms during teacher absences.
• Support students in their learning and ensure engagement in class activities.

Required Skills and Experience for this Cover Supervisor role:

• Proven experience as a Cover Supervisor or similar role in a secondary school setting
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) qualification
• Excellent subject knowledge across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
• Strong behaviour management skills for maintaining classroom order
• Familiarity with the National Curriculum standards
