Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a Primary School setting? We have a fantastic opportunity for a TA to support a Year 5 pupil with Autism in a welcoming Primary School in Stourport-on-Severn. This role requires an active and adaptable Teaching Assistant who can provide personalised support in and outside the classroom.

Job Role:

• Support a Year 5 pupil with Autism who finds the classroom challenging, providing structured and adaptive learning support.
• Work closely with the Class Teacher to reshape tasks and create chunked learning opportunities.
• Implement and encourage regulating activities to help the child engage with learning.
• Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment within the Primary School.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, SENCO, and parents to monitor progress.
• Assist with general Teaching Assistant duties across the Key Stage 2 (KS2) curriculum.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Previous UK TA or Teaching Assistant experience in a school setting is essential.
• Experience working with children with Autism and supporting their individual needs.
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum and Key Stage 2 (KS2) framework.
• Ability to take initiative, reshape tasks, and provide structured support.
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
