Social Worker within Children Assessments in Darlington, Durham (UK), earning £27.14 Hourly. Full-time ongoing opportunity in the vibrant field of social work awaits you. This role within the Assessment & Safeguarding Service promises a fulfilling journey where you can make a meaningful impact. You will hold a varied caseload from assessment, Children In Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), to court cases, covering short to long-term work within the Authority.

What you will do:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine their needs and required interventions.
  •  Develop and implement effective care plans tailored to the individual needs of each case.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to provide comprehensive support to families.
  •  Liaise with the court system, preparing necessary documentation and attending hearings as required.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children within the CIN, CP, and Court case spectrum.
  •  Work closely with Family Support Workers within the Assessment & Safeguarding teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to team meetings and case discussions.
