The school is an SEN school in Nottingham which helps assist students with Profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), this will involve students which have profound learning disabilities meaning they may struggle hearing, speaking and moving. This school provides constant support to students with various disabilities within a small classroom setting, while providing high quality teaching and learning while delivering it through a dynamic, engaging and meaningful curriculum. There curriculum offers their pupils lots of different opportunities which draws curiosity, resilience, choice making and independence skills.

  

The Role - SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant

As a SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students and teachers.

  • Pay between £500 - £540 per week
  • Full time school hours.
  • Mainly supporting one-to-one with students that have complex and profound learning difficulties.
  • Help implement strategies to support students emotional and social well-being.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive and calm learning environment.
  • Assist the class teacher with general tasks, working closely with other members of staff.

What we’re looking for – SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant

  • A recent Psychology graduate with a 2:1 or above with matching GCSE’s and A-levels
  • A genuine passion for working with children with specialist needs supporting their physical, emotional and educational needs.
  • Strong communication skills, Patience and Empathy.
  • The ability to work collaborate in a team to contribute to a positive exciting hands-on learning environment.
