Year 5 Teacher

Are you a Primary Teacher looking for a short-term role in a supportive Primary School? We are seeking a Class Teacher for a Year 5 class in a large-form entry Primary School in Northfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative team, with all planning pre-prepared-just requiring minor tweaks alongside fellow teachers. This role starts after half-term and is expected to last approximately four weeks, covering a staff absence.

The responsibilities of the Year 5 Teacher role, include:

• Full Class Teacher responsibilities, including planning, marking, and assessment
• Teaching a Key Stage 2 (KS2) Year 5 class, following the National Curriculum
• Working as part of a large-form entry year group with shared planning responsibilities
• Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a positive learning environment
• Engaging with pupils to support their educational development
• Collaborating with fellow teachers to maintain high standards of teaching and learning

Required Skills and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential
• Experience as a Primary Teacher, ideally within Key Stage 2 (KS2)
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• Ability to adapt and work effectively within a team
