Send Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge? Flourish Education is currently recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for a highly rated Good Primary School in Redditch. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work with children who have Autism and challenging behaviours, providing you with the chance to make a meaningful impact. The role is ideal for individuals with previous UK school experience who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs.

The responsibilities of this SEND Teaching Assistant role include:

• Support students with Autism and challenging behaviour in a primary school setting.
• Work alongside the Class Teacher to ensure the delivery of the National Curriculum to students in Key Stage 1 (KS1).
• Provide one-on-one support for children who require additional assistance.
• Assist in implementing behavioural support strategies for students with SEND.
• Help with classroom management to create a positive learning environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school.
• Experience working with children who have Autism and challenging behaviour.
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum and Key Stage 1 (KS1).
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Education (or equivalent).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both students and the Class Teacher.
