A pupil referral unit in Wolverhampton is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team, providing academic and pastoral support to students who face barriers to learning and may exhibit challenging behaviours.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, or SEN support, as you will gain hands-on experience working with vulnerable students in a dynamic and supportive setting.

The Role:

• Graduate Teaching Assistant based at a pupil referral unit in Wolverhampton
• Earn up to £550 per week
• Work closely with teachers to support lesson delivery and student engagement.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support, helping students reach their full potential.
• Assist with behaviour management, particularly in situations where behaviour may be challenging, ensuring a positive and safe learning environment.
• Support students with SEN needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia, etc.), tailoring your approach to individual learning styles.
• Gain experience in planning and delivering interventions, developing key teaching skills.

What We’re Looking For:

• A graduate (2:1 or above) in any subject – ideal for those considering a career in education.
• A positive and proactive attitude, with excellent communication skills.
• Passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning, including challenging behaviour.
• Experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching) is advantageous but not essential.
