Due to high demand, our Client, a leading global logistics service provider, is currently looking to appoint an experienced EU Roadfreight Operator to join their German Import Groupage Team, based in Essex.
As EU Roadfreight Operator you'll be processing and managing shipments from start to finish. Day to day duties will include negotiating commercial pricing, placing bookings and raising shipping documentation.
EU Roadfreight Operator duties include:
- Handling European groupage services.
- Arranging movement of freight from origin to final destination, both international and national.
- Liaising with customers, overseas partners and suppliers.
Essential Experience required:
- Must have a good understanding of European road freight, at least 2 years' experience.
- Capable of manually calculating costs and charges.
- Understanding of taxable kilos.
- Good customer service skills.
- Experience with Customs paperwork.
- Ability to work in a team but also be self-sufficient.
We're keen to speak to dynamic, skilled people with commercial pricing experience or shipment knowledge from having worked as a Roadfreight Operator, Operations Coordinator, Operations Clerk or similar, within a shipping / freight background.
Applicants must have a good operational know-how of shipping procedures , excellent relationship building skills, with customers, suppliers and colleagues alike. You'll be proficient at prioritising your workload. Your attention to detail skills will be second to none.
This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, with no weekends required!
In return, the successful EU Roadfreight Operator will be offered up to £30,000, in line with skills and experience.
