English Teacher

Flourish Education are seeking an English Teacher to join a Good Secondary School in Wednesbury. This school are seeking an experienced English Teacher for a full-time role, teaching across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), you will be delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum. This role will be starting after February half-term and continuing until the end of the academic year.

As an English Teacher, responsibilities will include:

• Planning, preparing and delivering English lessons to Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
• Marking and assessing pupils work throughout the year and reporting back to the Head of department and parents.
• Managing the behaviour within the classroom effectively to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Effectively differentiating work to meet the needs of all learners
• Working with other colleagues to ensure a cohesive curriculum
• Providing constructive feedback to students to enhance their learning.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
• Experience teaching English in a Secondary school in the UK.
• Excellent subject knowledge (English)
• Proven ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
• A minimum of 2 excellent references.
