Send Teaching Assistant

Job Role:

• Supporting children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, ASD, ASC, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and SEMH on a 1-1 and small group basis.
• Assisting the Class Teacher with planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Providing tailored support to children in Early Years (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
• Helping to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Working closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to support each child's learning journey.
• Maintaining a positive and encouraging presence in the classroom.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant or Teaching Assistant in a Primary School setting.
• Strong understanding of SEND needs and effective strategies for supporting pupils.
• Familiarity with Early Years (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
• Relevant qualifications such as Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status (desirable but not essential).
• A passion for helping children reach their full potential.
