Send Teaching Assistant

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children with SEND on a 1:1 basis, including Autism, ADHD, and ASD.
• Assisting children with challenging behaviour across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
• Collaborating with the Class Teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans.
• Delivering support in line with the National Curriculum and Early Years Framework (EYFS).
• Providing pastoral care and promoting inclusion within the Primary School environment.
• Encouraging progress and fostering confidence in children with additional needs.

Required Skills and Experience:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in education or childcare.
• Previous experience working in a UK Primary School setting.
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum and experience supporting EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
• Experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, ASD, and challenging behaviour.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children and staff.
