Flourish Education are currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced PHSE & Citizenship Teacher to join a Secondary School in Edgbaston. The school has been rated GOOD by OFSTED and is seeking a dedicated Secondary Teacher to help deliver high-quality PHSE education to Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students. We are seeking a committed PHSE & Citizenship teacher to lead the delivery of engaging lessons to students in both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing the PHSE and Citizenship curriculum, ensuring that students are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and values to make informed decisions, understand their rights and responsibilities, and become active citizens
This is a full time role due to start after February half-term up until the end of the academic year.
Job Role:
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive PHSE & Citizenship lessons to Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students.
- Full class responsibilities, including planning and marking.
- Manage behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Foster students' personal and social development, preparing them for life beyond school.
- Collaborate with the wider school team to support students' wellbeing and academic progress.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Career Teacher (ECT) applications are welcome.
- Experience teaching PHSE or related subjects within a Secondary School.
- Excellent subject knowledge of the National Curriculum for PHSE.
- Strong behaviour management skills to ensure a focused learning environment.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students.
- A passion for teaching and supporting the development of young people.
Working as a PHSE Teacher for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:
- £160 to £200 a day, which equates to £31,200 to £39,000 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year.
