What you will do:

  • Provide professional social work services to adult customers across Adult Operations and Mental Health Services as required.
  • Promote customers' choice and control over their lives, ensuring they have access to the resources and support they need.
  • Exercise high-quality judgement in situations of increasing complexity, risk, uncertainty, and challenge.
  •  Develop expertise in specific areas of social work practice and act as a reliable source of knowledge and advice to peers.
  • Maintain professional standards and ethics, managing conflicting values and dilemmas effectively.
  • Recognise and manage diversity, applying anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive principles.
  • Support and guide individuals in understanding and accessing their rights, justice, and economic wellbeing.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of legislation and social work theory to practice.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and professionals, facilitating interventions, support, and protection.
