Are you ready for an exciting opportunity? We are seeking an experienced Social Worker with expertise in Complex Safeguarding to join our innovative team in Stockport. This role invites you to engage in meaningful work with adolescents in challenging situations. As part of the Aspire Complex Safeguarding team, you will collaborate seamlessly with Police, Health, and Youth Justice professionals to provide essential support to vulnerable children and young people.

What you will do:

• Engage with children and young people over the age of 10 who are vulnerable to or experiencing exploitation, including sexual and criminal exploitation, and modern slavery.
• Collaborate with locality social workers and other professionals to deliver comprehensive support and safeguard vulnerable children.
• Participate in and contribute to court processes, and share your expert knowledge of adolescent development, child exploitation, and trafficking.
• Build and maintain relationships with young people, demonstrating creativity and patience to establish trust in challenging circumstances.
• Respond flexibly to support young people at crucial moments, potentially adjusting working hours in agreement with your line manager.
• Raise awareness across the council, contributing to exploitation-related events and regular training sessions to enhance service delivery.
• Be present in the office at least three days per week to ensure active engagement with the team and responsive support for those in need.
