What you will do:

  • Conduct clinical assessments and interventions as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Utilise your knowledge of child development, neuro-development, and childhood occupations to support children.
  • Plan and prioritise workload efficiently, exhibiting initiative and a solution-focused mindset.
  • Perform skilled assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment while adhering to professional standards.
  • Prepare well-written reports for multi-agency use.
  • Use a range of therapeutic techniques, including non-standardised and standardised assessments.
  • Work with children with physical and developmental disabilities, understanding how these impact occupational performance.
  • Participate in clinical audits and research.
  • Communicate sensitive information empathically to clients and critically evaluate your performance.
  • Develop and implement occupational therapy programmes within a specialist field, providing training and strategies to school staff and caregivers.
  • - Supervise students and support and mentor junior staff.


Applicants must be registered with the HCPC and should have experience in paediatric settings. A valid driving licence is required to travel between locations as necessary.
