What you will do:

• Provide a comprehensive medicines management service to allocated prison(s) weekly with the help of a prison services pharmacist.
• Administer medicines on the house blocks against valid prescriptions to offenders.
• Oversee the ordering and supply of repeat prescriptions ensuring seamless operations.
• Supervise assistants in providing dispensing services for prisons.
• Dispense prescriptions and manage stock in the dispensary.
• Work towards accreditation as a checking technician or medicines administration for final dispensing checks and services.
• Ensure that all medicines management services meet the high standards expected and comply with Standard Operating Procedures.

Additional duties include:

• Offering weekly clinical visits to prisons, collaborating with pharmacists for stock-top ups, and providing medicinal advice.
• Conducting controlled drugs stock checks quarterly.
• Actively promoting healthy lifestyles in line with guidelines.
