Community Psychiatric Nurse - R&r Team

Sanctuary Personnel is currently looking for an experienced Band 7 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to take on a new ongoing contract role.

Location: South Camden- R&R Team

Pay Rate: £27 per hour (assignment rate)

Contract Type: Locum

Working hours: Monday – Friday 9 - 5

Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:

• Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
• Experience working as a Mental Health Nurse
• NMC Registration
• Extensive experience of professional leadership in a clinical / team setting.
• A track record of delivering care in accordance with best practice guidelines in their service area and have led on the completion of audits and/or supporting research.
• Previous experience of supervising junior staff.
• Demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to enthuse, motivate and involve team members.
• Be able to competently use computers and keyboards for entering personally generated data, generating and responding to emails, conducting web searches, storing data and retrieving data, producing reports etc.
• Provide evidence-based interventions to service users within South Camden Rehabilitation and Recovery
• Service as per their treatment plan.
• Carry a caseload of the most complex service users within the South Camden Rehabilitation and Recovery
• Service, in addition to acting as the lead practitioner for the service, providing senior leadership and consultation to nurses and other allied professionals within the team.
• The post holder will be required to have significant clinical skill and knowledge of nursing interventions, and in particular the care and treatment of psychosis.
• Demonstrate a clear professional understanding and practical experience of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act, and their application / use in practice.
• Demonstrate understanding and experience of utilising a variety of assessment tools as well as service specialist tools in practice in relation to assessment, planning care needs and assessing and managing clinical risks.
• Sound practical experience of patient / service user care and engagement within the wider context of the organisation.
• Experience of supporting staff through change and fostering a culture of continuous service improvement.
