Shirley Parsons have partnered with a leading Fire Safety Consultancy who have an opportunity for a Fire Engineer to join their team. This consultancy is dedicated to innovation and safety, offering you the chance to advance your career in a supportive environment. With a focus on professional growth, this role allows you to gain hands-on experience, work with experienced engineers, and have flexibility for remote working with occasional travel to the Aylesbury office and client sites.
The Fire Engineer will be responsible for:
- Supporting the development and delivery of fire safety projects on time and within budget
- Conducting site inspections, reviewing fire safety strategies, and attending client meetings (mainly via Teams with some face-to-face interactions)
- Reviewing detailed technical drawings and ensuring compliance with fire safety legislation
- Collaborating with clients, design teams, and authorities to deliver effective solutions
- Assisting with the bidding process for future projects and strengthening networking channels
The Fire Engineer will have:
- A Level 5/6 qualification in an Engineering-related subject (Foundation or bachelor's degree)
- A solid understanding of fire safety standards and legislation
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate technical matters effectively
- A proactive approach to learning and maintaining Continued Professional Development (CPD)
- Willingness to travel for occasional site visits and meetings, mostly in London (expenses covered)
