Year 1 Teacher

We are recruiting for a Year 1 Teacher to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" Primary School in Selly Oak. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Class Teacher with strong positive behaviour management skills to make a real difference in a lively Key Stage 1 (KS1) setting. This position is starting ASAP and continuing for the full academic year and is covering a maternity leave.

As a Year 1 Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Full teaching duties, including planning, preparing, and delivering lessons.
• Monitoring and assessing student progress in line with the National Curriculum.
• Managing a class of children with no EHCPs but some challenging behaviours.
• Implementing positive behaviour management strategies to create a structured routine.
• Collaborating with colleagues to maintain a supportive teaching environment.

Required Skills and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience as a Primary Teacher, ideally in Key Stage 1 (KS1).
• Excellent behaviour management skills.
• A strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
• The ability to adapt and inspire young learners.
• Previous UK school experience is essential
