Join Our Team as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Making Learning Accessible for All

Flourish Education is recruiting an experienced and dedicated HLTA to support a Wolverhampton school’s Special Educational Needs (SEN) hub. This role is an incredible opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Autism, ADD, and other additional needs. The SEN hub currently accommodates 8 pupils, and we are looking for a passionate individual to help guide their learning journeys.

As an HLTA, you will play a key role in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Ideal candidates will bring:

• A commitment to making learning accessible to all and fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Proven experience working with children with various additional needs.
• Flexibility, a nurturing personality, and strong behaviour management skills.

This full-time position starts this term, working Monday to Friday until the February half-term. It involves working with children across both KS1 and KS2. If you are a committed professional passionate about helping children achieve their full potential, we would love to hear from you.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role

• Hold a Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification
• Previous SEND experience
• Good curriculum knowledge of Key Stage 1/2
• Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
• A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months
• A minimum of 2 excellent references
• experience managing small groups and leading tailored 1:1 sessions outside the main classroom.
• Confidence in stepping in as a room leader when required.

• Competitive Salary – between £85-£100 per day depending on experience, which equates to £16,578.90-£19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is based in the Wolverhampton area which is easily accessible via various means of public transport from Bloxwich, Willenhall, and Central Wolverhampton.
