Job Title: Banqueting Chef
Salary: €3,200 - €4,000 gross per month 
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

We are seeking an experienced Banqueting Chef to oversee the preparation and execution of high-quality banqueting services for large events, conferences, and special occasions that will take place in the hotel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient kitchen operations, designing event-specific menus, and managing the kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and develop customized menus tailored to specific events, ensuring variety, quality, and presentation.
• Supervise all aspects of food preparation for banquets, including portion control, ingredient selection, and maintaining high culinary standards.
• Lead and manage kitchen staff, ensuring collaboration, training, and smooth coordination during events.
• Oversee food presentation and ensure dishes meet quality and health standards.
• Monitor food supplies, control waste, and manage inventory to meet event requirements.
• Work closely with event coordinators, clients, and front-of-house teams to ensure menu requirements are met and client expectations are exceeded.
• Ensure efficient use of resources and assist with budget management by optimizing food costs and reducing wastage.
• Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations in all kitchen operations.
• Oversee the execution of food service during events, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer experience.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Banqueting Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume banquet setting.
• Expertise in preparing large-scale meals with attention to detail in presentation and flavor.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing kitchen teams.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Culinary degree or relevant certifications preferred.
• Proficiency in Dutch necessary
