About the Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant:

As aGraduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Earn up to £520 per week!
  • Join a Mainstream Secondary School based in Leeds
  • Enjoy sociable working hours between 8am – 4pm, Monday to Friday
  • Work to develop a strong relationship with the children you work with
  • Focus your attention on SEN students who are struggling with ASD, ADHD and other forms of SEN/SEMH
  • Liaise with outside organisations to ensure students are receiving the utmost care
  • Perfect experience for aspiring SEN teachers or education psychologists
  • Work 1-to-1 and in small group settings
  • Clear progression: In-house teacher training available September 2025

About You:

We're looking for a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant who:

  • Holds a 2:1 or First-Class degree in Psychology (or a closely related subject) from a Russell Group university
  • A passion for working with children, particularly those with SEN.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to helping students overcome barriers to learning.
  • You should demonstrate strong emotional intelligence and the ability to read and respond appropriately to different situations and personalities in a classroom environment.

As a Graduate SEN teaching assistant, you will work collaboratively with the specialist SEN teachers in your school. The role offers an exciting gateway into education, providing invaluable classroom experience while supporting students who most need assistance in the classroom.
