We are seeking an exceptional Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in the stunning Bailiwick of Guernsey. This permanent role offers a competitive salary between £55,579.00 and £73,085.00 annually within Band 7. What you will do:
- Provide highly specialist assessment and intervention services to adults with complex speech and language conditions, autonomously handling your own caseload.
- Engage in triage and prioritisation of incoming referrals, using your advanced clinical judgment and experience.
- Develop comprehensive and individualised care plans in collaboration with patients, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Deliver specialist advice on dysphagia management, conduct instrumental examinations, and develop tailored therapeutic programmes.
- Work collaboratively with a range of healthcare professionals in the management of patients with complex needs.
- Lead, supervise, and support junior colleagues, Band 6 Therapists, and SLT support workers.
- Take an active role in the development of service policies and procedures, contributing your evidence-based insights and expertise.
- Use outstanding communication skills to relay complex information effectively to clients, carers, referrers, and healthcare professionals.
- Engage in clinical education and teaching, contributing to the wider learning environment of the healthcare setting.
