Job Title: Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist within Acute

Location: Orpington, UK Salary: £30 per hour Hourly Contract: Ongoing Full Time – Part Time will be considered.

What you will do:

• Assess, diagnose, and create personalised treatment plans for adults with communication and swallowing disorders, particularly focusing on frailty and dysphagia cases.
• Deliver effective therapy services to acute inpatient settings, ensuring tailored interventions for each individual case.
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with medical professionals to provide holistic care to patients.
• Offer guidance, supervision, and support to junior team members, fostering an environment of learning and collaboration.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to service development initiatives.

Requirements:

• HCPC Registration and a Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Demonstrated recent experience in UK healthcare settings, particularly with adult acute inpatient care.
• Proven experience managing frailty caseloads and competence in dysphagia management.
• Ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate junior team members, ensuring excellent service delivery.
