What you will do:
- Be the clinical lead for patients with communication and swallowing disorders following stroke and other medical conditions within the frailty remit.
- Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and management for individuals with complex needs post-stroke.
- Conduct expert evaluations and treatments for a diverse range of communication and swallowing disorders related to various medical conditions within the frailty scope.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Offer training and guidance to junior staff members and support workers to elevate the quality of care provided.
- Engage with ongoing professional development opportunities to stay at the forefront of advancements in stroke rehabilitation.
Requirements:
- You must be HCPC-registered, ensuring your qualifications and practice meet the highest standards.
- At least two years of experience in speech and language therapy, particularly in stroke care, is essential.
- While a driving licence is preferable, your ability to deliver top-notch care is the highest priority.
