What you will do:
- Act as the lead professional in statutory cases including child protection, care proceedings, and supporting looked-after children.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of need and risk, devising strategic care plans in collaboration with other professionals.
- Deliver proactive short-term support for families, working to reduce risk and improve outcomes for children.
- Coordinate complex care packages tailored to the unique needs of children and contribute to multi-disciplinary planning meetings.
- Engage with families dealing with chronic issues, using your expertise to provide targeted interventions and support.
- Facilitate a collaborative environment with health and social care practitioners, guaranteeing a thorough, child-focused approach.
We are seeking individuals with a 'can do' attitude and a commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for the children in our care. You will need a relevant social work qualification and Social Work England membership, along with demonstrable experience of working across both voluntary and statutory agencies. Your ability to communicate effectively and apply knowledge of legislation and guidance will be key to your success in this role.
