Are you a Senior or Principal CS&A Engineer looking for a new opportunity? A leading organisation that operate across highly regulated sectors, including civil & nuclear are seeking a Senior / Principal CS&A Engineer to join their team in Harwell on a permanent staff basis.
As a Senior / Principal CS&A Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development process, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams. This is a hands-on role, where you will be responsible for structural analysis and design while also mentoring junior engineers, graduates, and apprentices when required.
Key Responsibilities: Senior / Principal CS&A Engineer
- Lead the preparation of design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop structural designs in compliance with technical specifications.
- Conduct and validate structural calculations for designs.
- Contribute to design reviews, ensuring technical accuracy.
- Prepare technical specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and produce technical documentation in line with safety regulations.
Requirements: Senior / Principal CS&A Engineer
- Engineering qualification such as HNC / HND / Degree.
- Strong safety-first mindset.
- Expertise in structural steel and reinforced concrete design.
- Knowledge of structural steel connections and their applications.
- Proven experience in a design delivery role.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Experience in the nuclear sector or other highly regulated industries is highly desirable.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally.
- Previous supervisory or mentoring experience is highly desirable.
