What you will do:
- Provide exceptional nursing care for patients in the endoscopy unit, assisting with admission, in-room procedures, and post-procedure recovery.
- Prepare and manage instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure seamless procedures are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Offer in-room assistance to doctors during endoscopic procedures and administer IV medications or sedation as needed.
- Monitor patient vital signs throughout each procedure and continue to observe during the recovery phase.
- Complete and maintain thorough documentation, including patient records, prescriptions, and discharge summaries.
- Promptly identify and flag any urgent cases that require further review or collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Adhere to the operational manual and ensure compliance, particularly with waiting times for ongoing treatments.
- Maintain a compassionate approach to meet both the physical and emotional needs of patients.
