Teaching Assistant

Flourish Education is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work with an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ school in Castle Bromwich to join their staff on a long-term basis. The school believe that children are better prepared for the future if they are equipped with the tools needed to enable them to become confident, independent, caring and emotionally intelligent individuals.

Our client wants to appoint a passionate Teaching Assistant to work with in the school's SEN hub with children with complex needs, mainly autism.

Responsibilities in this role include supporting the children to meet their individual needs, keeping the children engaged and monitoring their progress. You will also be working closely with another TA and the SENDCo. Personal care is required.

This Teaching Assistant role is to start ASAP and will continue on an ongoing basis. This position is full time 8:30am-3:30pm.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant (TA) role:

• Experience working in schools in the UK
• Minimum Level 3 qualification
• Experience supporting children with SEN
• Effectively manage the behaviour and engagement of the children
• Motivating and encouraging the children
• Supporting with learning and development
• Working closely with the SENDCo and other staff
• Commitment to the role
• Being flexible when needed
• Personal care required

Working for Flourish Education as a Teaching Assistant (TA) you will receive:

• £88.92 day rate to £95 day rate which equates to £17,340 per annum to £18,525 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

This Teaching Assistant opportunity is located near Castle Bromwich which is easily commutable from Saltley, Washwood Heath, Stechford, Tyseley, Small Heath, Nechells and most areas of Birmingham via car, bus and train.
