We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist post-acute stroke rehabilitation unit in Abingdon. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy to stroke patients within a specialist post-acute rehabilitation unit.

  • Provide expert support and education to patients and their families, helping them navigate communication and swallowing difficulties.

  • Lead daily operations to ensure the effective delivery of speech and language therapy services.

  • Facilitate safe discharge planning, supporting patients as they transition into community-based care.

  • Contribute to clinical projects and service development, driving innovation in stroke rehabilitation.

Essential Requirements

  • HCPC Registration (Health and Care Professions Council).

  • Qualified Speech and Language Therapist, with experience in stroke rehabilitation.

  • Valid UK driving licence (desirable but not essential).

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage daily service delivery effectively.
