Teaching Assistant

Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant with recent experience in a UK Primary School?

Flourish Education is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary school in Tewkesbury, to join their team on a part-time basis (3 full days and 2 mornings – 8.30 – 12.30pm) The school has recently been rated ‘good’ by OFSTED, and aims to provide a caring and safe learning environment for children to become ‘confident, resilient and curious’.The school are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with intervention groups across classes in KS2.

Responsibilities will include delivering Maths and Guided Reading interventions, hearing readers, and working with pupil’s on an individual basis. An empathetic, patient and caring approach is essential. The ideal candidate will seek to form positive relationships with pupils and families, instilling a love of learning and building pupil’s confidence.

You must have an in depth knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, and be willing to commit to a long-term position. This role will provisionally continue until the end of the Autumn term. The school are looking for a flexible, experienced and committed Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent
• Experience of working within KS2
• Committed to a long-term post (Provisionally until the end of the Autumn term)

This Teaching Assistant opportunity is located in Tewkesbury, and is easily commutable from the surrounding areas including Malvern, Ledbury, Gloucester and Cheltenham. The school has an onsite carpark, and is easily accessible via public transport.
