As a Geography Academic Mentor, you will be an integral part of the school’s team, supporting geography lessons and helping students deepen their understanding of geographical concepts. You will provide tailored academic support to students, working with them in small groups and one-on-one settings to ensure they reach their potential in geography. This role offers hands-on experience in a classroom environment, with a strong focus on helping students develop key geographical skills, critical thinking and an appreciation for the subject This is an excellent opportunity for a Geography Academic Mentor to gain experience, enhance their teaching skills and lay the foundation for a future in education.
Ideal Geography Academic Mentor Candidate:
- A recent graduate in Geography or a related field, with a 2:1 or higher
- Passionate about geography and eager to inspire students to engage with the subject
- Confident and adaptable, able to support students with varying levels of ability in geography
- Previous experience working with young people is an advantage but not essential
