Chemistry Teacher

We are currently recruiting a part-time chemistry teacher to join an Ofsted-rated good secondary school in Dudley. Starting in January, this role runs until May and offers the chance to work within a supportive school community with an excellent reputation for both staff and student development. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced secondary teacher or an early career teacher (ECT) with a passion for inspiring students and delivering engaging lessons.

Job Role:
As a part-time chemistry teacher, you will:

• Deliver chemistry lessons to students in key stage 3 (KS3) and key stage 4 (KS4), following the national curriculum.
• Plan, prepare, and mark lessons to ensure student progress and achievement.
• Maintain excellent behaviour management within the classroom.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Participate in departmental meetings and collaborate with the science team.
• Inspire students to develop a love for chemistry and scientific exploration.

Required Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or to be an early career teacher (ECT).
• Excellent subject knowledge of chemistry and familiarity with the national curriculum.
• Confidence teaching across key stage 3 (KS3) and key stage 4 (KS4).
• Strong classroom management skills and a proven ability to maintain excellent behaviour standards.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
