Brand new opportunity for a Finance Advisor (Decommissioning) - Contract Basis!

Purpose of Role
- Provide a comprehensive and effective finance service to designated business areas as required.
- Provide oversight to deliver key driver and trend analysis, updates, and administer detailed budgets/forecasts to incumbent budget holder(s).
- Act as the focal interface between business stakeholders and the Finance function, adding value through the provision of insight and ensuring accurate information and budgeting activities are in accordance with company policies, procedures, and contractual agreements.

- Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner, complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation, and company HSES Procedures.
Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities
- Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with company Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures.
- Complete any compulsory compliance training as required.
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility, and Competence
Delivery of Accurate and Timely Cost Reporting
- Coordinate all financial resources required to meet designated business area reporting requirements, acting as the ultimate focal point for business area management.
- Drive monthly cost reviews.
- Provide ad-hoc cost analysis and management presentations as appropriate.
- Manage interaction with JV Partners/Operators as required on monthly financials, AFEs, and outlook updates.
- Interface with group finance to ensure consistent application of company accounting policy.
- Support AFE project reviews and stage gate sign-offs.
Delivery of Accurate and Timely Information in Support of Planning
- Ensure an effective framework is in place for detailed budget/forecast information and phasing for budget holder review/approval for monthly outlooks, budget, and Life-of-Field planning.
- Provide high-quality variance analysis as required.
- Deliver process enhancements, including predictive analytics and automation.
- Support the preparation/review of JV Partner/Operator information, including JV partner budget packs and other requested information, ensuring compliance with JV agreements.
- Support consolidation/reporting of forecasting activities from other functions, including UK Projects and Well Operations.
Provision of Accurate Information to Support JV Close & Partners
- Support and follow up on JV partner audits through liaison with the audit coordinator.
- Review and issue JV reports, including reforecasts.
- Develop OCM presentations and lead/attend FinCOM meetings as required.
- Act as the focal point for all benchmarking and regulatory reporting required for the business area.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as instructed by your manager.
Critical Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Degree and qualified accountant of a recognised body (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) with appropriate industry experience.
- Proven experience in management reporting and modelling within the upstream oil and gas industry.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience with SAP / SunSystems preferred.
- Strong MS Office skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and adept at interacting with individuals at all levels in the organisation.
- Focus on service delivery to business and functions.
- Flexible and responsive to stakeholder requirements and a changing environment.
- Ability to deliver high-quality work by deadlines and work effectively under time pressure.
- Ability to work on own initiative, proactively drive change, take responsibility, and manage tasks through to completion.
- Open, honest, and reliable.
- Awareness of company HSES Policies and Business Management System (BMS).
