Send Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated 'Good' Primary School in Cotteridge. This is an exciting opportunity to support children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Challenging Behaviour, and SEMH. If you have experience working in a Primary School setting and a passion for supporting children across EYFS - Key Stage 2, this could be the perfect role for you!

Working as an SEND Teaching Assistant, responsibilities include:

• Support children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Challenging Behaviour, and SEMH.
• Work across EYFS, Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2) to assist pupils in accessing the National Curriculum.
• Assist the Class Teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils who require additional assistance.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment within the Primary School.
• Promote positive behaviour management strategies and encourage social and emotional development.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant, TA, or Learning Support Assistant (LSA) within a UK Primary School.
• Experience supporting children across EYFS, Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and strategies for supporting children with SEND.
• Ability to manage behaviour effectively and implement de-escalation techniques.
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a relevant field.
