Are you a SEND Teaching Assistant seeking a role where you can make a real difference? Flourish Education are working with Primary Schools in Kings Heath who are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to work within their SEND Hub. The pupils have various needs including Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, Challenging Behaviour, and Complex Learning Needs. This role would be starting ASAP and continuing until the end of the academic Year, the working times would be 8:30 - 3:30.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND in Primary Schools.
  • Assisting the Class Teacher and SENCo in implementing tailored learning plans.
  • Supporting students with SEND such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and Complex Needs.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Adapting support strategies to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Collaborating with other team members, including Learning Support Practitioners and Behaviour Learning Mentors.

We are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant who has:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications in supporting teaching and learning.
  • Experience working in a Primary School setting, particularly with SEND students.
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum, including Early Years (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
  • Skills in supporting students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Challenging Behaviour, and Complex Needs.
  • A minimum of 2 excellent references from previous roles.

Working as a SEND Teaching Assistant for Flourish Education also offers you other excellent benefits, including:

  • £85.02 to £98.41 a day, equating to £16,578.90 to £19,189.95 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year.
