Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing: As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, your role will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to children, helping them with their reading, writing, and basic numeracy
- Assisting with lesson preparation and delivering engaging activities that capture children's imaginations
- Supporting children during classroom tasks and play, encouraging social skills and positive behaviour
- Helping children with their learning through hands-on, interactive activities and play-based learning
- Assisting with classroom organisation and ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment
- Encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and emotional growth in young students
- Working closely with the teaching team to track student progress and provide feedback
Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:
- A 2:1 degree or higher in any subject (preferably with a focus on education, childhood studies, or similar)
- A genuine passion for working with young children and making learning fun
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire young learners
- Previous experience with children, whether through tutoring, volunteering, or similar roles, is desirable but not essential
- Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to supporting children with different learning needs
- A proactive attitude, with a strong desire to support children's development in every way
- An interest in pursuing a career in primary education
