Send Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Bromsgrove. This Ofsted-rated GOOD school is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where all students can thrive. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support children with a range of additional needs, helping them to engage with the National Curriculum and develop their confidence. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced TA to make a real impact in a rewarding role.

As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Work closely with the Class Teacher to support students with SEND, including Autism, ASD, ADHD, Challenging Behaviour, Global Delay, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and SEMH.
• Assist in delivering tailored interventions and learning activities within the primary school setting.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to children across Early Years (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
• Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction to enhance students’ learning experiences.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
• Monitor and report on student progress to the Class Teacher and SENCO.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant or TA in a UK primary school.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum and strategies for supporting children with SEND.
• Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques for students with additional needs.
• Passionate about working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
