Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – The Role:

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to engage with their learning.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with students who may have experienced trauma or disruption in their education.
  • Implement therapeutic strategies and assist with behaviour management to create a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Work closely with SEN specialists, therapists, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
  • Long-term, full-time Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role, earning up to £570 per week

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Candidate Specification:

We are looking for a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant who:

  • Holds a degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field (other disciplines considered if relevant experience is demonstrated).
  • Has experience working with young people, particularly those with SEMH, autism, ADHD, or other additional needs.
  • Can remain calm under pressure and demonstrates high levels of emotional intelligence and resilience.
  • Is passionate about supporting vulnerable students and helping them to develop coping strategies and confidence.
