General Manager – Luxury Fitness Club
Location: London
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
I am working with a London based premium fitness business who are home to elite athletes, top-tier personal trainers, and an exclusive clientele. A high-end gym, offering unparalleled facilities, bespoke training programs, and a luxury fitness experience. If you are an experienced, visionary General Manager to oversee the flagship gym and elevate the brand to new heights.
The Role:
As General Manager, you will hold complete responsibility for the day-to-day operations and long-term success of the venue. This role requires a dynamic, entrepreneurial leader who thrives in a high-performance, luxury environment. You will be accountable for the overall management of the club, ensuring operational excellence, exceptional member satisfaction, and a profitable business model. developing policies to managing staff performance, ensuring a superior member experience, driving membership sales, and maintaining financial control. As a true ambassador of the BXR brand, you will cultivate a unique culture, set ambitious goals, and steer the team towards excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive team performance and effectiveness while maintaining a positive, high-energy work environment.
- Ensure exceptional member experiences that lead to high satisfaction and retention.
- Strategically develop the club’s market presence, lead sales efforts, and manage business development initiatives.
- Manage the club’s P&L, controlling expenses while driving profitability and operational efficiency.
- Recruit, train, and develop a world-class team. Foster personal growth opportunities and create a positive work culture.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring a safe, functional, and secure environment. Monitor performance and implement internal processes to improve efficiency.
- Forecast financial needs, prepare annual budgets, control expenditures, and manage cash flow to achieve set financial targets.
- Drive membership and personal training package sales, with a focus on exceeding sales targets and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant HR, legal, and health & safety requirements, including daily checks and routine safety tests.
- Regularly assess team performance, set clear goals, provide coaching, and enforce productivity standards. Design and implement incentive schemes to motivate the sales team.
