An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Financial Controller to join a growing lifestyle group based in Malta. This position is ideal for someone with solid finance experience who is eager to take on more responsibility in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will report directly to the CFO and work closely with other department managers to manage the group’s financial operations.

Salary: €45,000 - €50,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management statements in a timely manner to review the company’s financial performance.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the preparation of yearly budgets and regular forecasts in collaboration with department managers and the CFO.
Cash Flow & VAT Returns: Manage the preparation of cash flows, VAT returns, and financial information for new and existing projects.
Audit Management: Act as the first point of contact for external auditors to ensure a prompt and accurate statutory audit.
Debtors & Credit Control: Oversee the monitoring of debtors, ensuring timely reporting to the Group CFO and senior management.
Team Leadership: Support and motivate the accounts staff with daily cash settlements and accounts receivables.

Requirements:

Qualifications: ACCA qualification or equivalent.
Experience: 2-3 years of relevant financial experience, ideally within the retail, commercial, or hospitality (restaurants or hotels) sectors.
Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and solid knowledge of accounting principles.
Industry Knowledge: Experience working in Malta, with knowledge of local financial regulations and accounting practices.
Language Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
