A well-established secondary school in Rugby is looking for a dedicated Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant to join their enthusiastic team. In this role, you will support the Humanities department, assisting students in developing a deeper understanding of history, geography, and other related subjects while contributing to a positive and engaging learning environment.
As a Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant, you will work with students of varying abilities, providing tailored support in one-on-one and small group settings. You will assist with lesson delivery, help students with their understanding of key concepts, and encourage a passion for Humanities subjects.

Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in developing their understanding of Humanities subjects such as history, geography, and sociology.
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging Humanities lessons, ensuring all students are included and supported.
- Provide tailored support to individuals or small groups, helping students to grasp key concepts and improve their academic performance.
- Track students' progress, offer feedback, and collaborate with teachers to monitor academic development.
- Foster a passion for Humanities, helping students appreciate the relevance and real-world applications of their studies.
- Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills through interactive learning activities and discussions.
Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant Key Requirements:
- A 2:1 degree or higher in Humanities, History, Geography, Sociology, or a related field.
- A genuine passion for Humanities and a desire to help students gain confidence in their academic abilities.
- Prior experience working with young people, such as tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering (desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude towards supporting students’ learning needs.
- An eagerness to pursue a career in education, teaching, or related fields.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to the school’s needs.
