Primary School Teacher / ECT – The Role:

As a Primary School Teacher / ECT, you will play a vital role in shaping young learners' educational journeys. Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering creative, engaging, and interactive lessons that inspire curiosity and a love for learning.
• Supporting children’s early development in key areas such as literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
• Creating a warm and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
• Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing gentle guidance and tailored support to ensure every child thrives.
• Working closely with teaching assistants, SEN specialists, and pastoral teams to support children with diverse learning needs.

Primary School Teacher / ECT – Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS (for ECTs).
• A warm, nurturing, and patient approach to working with young children.
• A strong understanding of early childhood and primary education principles.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A passion for creating engaging, child-centered learning experiences.
• The ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive school ethos.

Salary & Career Progression:

• Paid according to the Main Pay Scale (MPS), ranging from £31,650 to £43,607, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Schools offer comprehensive ECT support, ensuring you receive mentorship, CPD opportunities, and structured development pathways.
• Opportunities for subject leadership roles, additional responsibilities, and TLR payments for experienced teachers.
