Our Client, a leading global logistics service provider / freight forwarding company based at the London Gateway Logistics Park, is currently looking to appoint an experienced Road Freight Operator, to join their team handling European groupage services. Due to the location being able to drive is essential as we are not easily accessible by public transport.
As Road Freight Operator, you'll be liaising with customers, overseas partners and suppliers, arranging the movement of freight from origin to destination, both nationally and internationally.
We're keen to speak to freight and customs professionals, who have a good understanding of European road freight from 2+ years' experience. You will need to be proficient at manually calculating costs and charges, with a good understanding of taxable kilos and customs documentation. Having first class customer services skills also goes without saying.
This Road Freight Operator vacancy offers a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and company with a clear vision and strategy, as well as a good progression prospects.
It's a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, so no weekends required! The company operates out of a new office complex with breakout room and parking facilities.
In return, the successful Road Freight Operator will be offered up to £28,000 (in line with experience and skills), as well as a bonus scheme and competitive holiday and pension scheme.
