We are seeking a committed and experienced Senior Staff Nurse or Paramedic to join the Community Palliative Care team based out of our client's Hospice based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire.This is a full-time post, but we are open to hearing from candidates seeking to negotiate a part-time hours opportunity. The team works 7 days a week from 9:00 – 5:00.As this role delivers services in the community it is essential that you are a car driver and have access to a vehicle.You will:Deliver high quality Palliative and End of Life nursing care as part of the Community MDT; coordinating assessment, planning and evaluation of individualised patient centred care.Provide advice, psychological support and symptom control for patients with an associated life limiting condition and be supporting their families also.Work autonomously and as part of a team providing care and support to patients in their home, in outpatient clinics and Wellbeing groups. These learners will require dedicated, in-person support to enable their academic success - if you’re an engaging teacher or tutor, experienced in supporting KS3-KS4 Science and who would relish the opportunity to work with students in their own homes or schools delivering tuition on a 1:1 or small group basis, then we’d love to work with you.You’ll provide in-person, daytime tuition to learners who are struggling to meet age-related academic expectations. These opportunities to tutor are tailored with your availability in mind and can vary between 5-25+ hours per week depending on learner requirements. Your skill and expertise will play a leading role in improving the self-confidence and subject knowledge of your learner, ultimately re-engaging them with education and providing a positive learning outcome.Learners referred to us may demonstrate complex learning requirements - distinct experience of working with children who present the following will be advantageous: Special educational needs (SEN) such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and Dyslexia or DyspraxiaSocial, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needsChildhood trauma Key responsibilities Create lesson plans and deliver tuition that is designed to engage, inspire and teach.Monitor your learner’s progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.Collaborate with your learner’s guardians/teachers to ensure their academic success.Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and learner performance through our virtual learning platform.
