Year 4 Teacher

We are recruiting a Class Teacher to work in a school in Stonehouse on a part-time basis, this role is for a Year 4/5 class. As the Class Teacher, you will be working 2 days per week as part of a job share where planning time will be allocated. This is a maternity cover role to begin in January 2025 and will be ongoing for the full academic year.

The school is rated “Good” by Ofsted and is also a 1-form entry mainstream Primary School.

The Class Teacher position, is a long-term role working with the school until the end of the academic year. This role involves full planning, teaching, and marking expectations. An experienced teacher is preferred but an ECT/NQT is encouraged to apply.

Job role

• Teaching in a mixed Year 4/5 class
• Working 2 days per week
• Shared planning, marking and assessment required
• Reporting pupil progress against targets/action plans
• Work with job share to plan lessons
• Build relationships with the pupils, parents and staff
• Attend CPD relevant to the role – whole staff and SLT meetings
• Show secure subject knowledge to support learning
• Follow school policy regarding behaviour management systems

Required skills and experience.

• Experience in teaching across primary schools including KS2.
• Must have the relevant teacher status: QTS primary/ ECT’s are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to manage a classroom with excellent communication skills.
• Contact references from all employment in the last 24 months.
• Previous Supply Teacher experience not required.
